Manhattan -
The Manhattan was invented in the 1860s by a bartender named Black at a bar on Broadway near Houston Street. Enjoy yours with the Bourbon or Rye of your choice, following the recipe below.
Glassware:
Martini Glass if serving chilled up or Old Fashioned Glass if served over ice.
Garnish:
Maraschino Cherry or Lemon Twist
Ingredients:
- Bulleit Bourbon or Rye
- Sweet Vermouth
- Angostura Bitters
Directions:
2/3 bourbon or rye, 1/3 sweet vermouth, 3 dashes bitters. Stir in a glass of ice and strain into a martini glass or old fashioned glass over ice.
