French 75 -
French 75 is also called a 75 Cocktail, or in French simply a Soixante Quinze (Seventy Five). The drink dates to World War I, and an early form was created in 1915 at the New York Bar in Paris—later Harry's New York Bar—by barman Harry MacElhone
- Sugar Cube
- Lemon Juice
- Bombay Sapphire Gin
Place sugar cube in bottom of glass, pour 1/5 warm gin first to melt the sugar cube (1 teaspoon of sugar can also be used), add a splash of lemon juice, 4/5 Bubbly. Prepare in the glass and serve.
