Sonya Bilocerkowycz's debut book, On Our Way Home from the Revolution: Reflections on Ukraine, won the 2018 Gournay Prize and was recently named a "Most Anticipated Essay Collection" for Fall 2019 by Lit Hub. Her work has appeared in Colorado ReviewGuernicaThe Southampton ReviewNinth LetterImageCrab Orchard Review, and elsewhere. Before completing her MFA at Ohio State, Sonya served as a Fulbright Fellow in Belarus, an educational recruiter in the Republic of Georgia, and an instructor at Ukrainian Catholic University. Currently, she teaches Creative Writing at SUNY Geneseo and is Managing Editor for Speculative Nonfiction
Jessie Male is a nonfiction writer and PhD candidate at The Ohio State University, though she resides in Brooklyn with her husband and rescue dog. She has an MFA in memoir from Hunter College and an MA in English from Ohio State. Jessie's creative writing appears in GuernicaBustleVol. 1 BrooklynBOMB Magazine, and other print and online publications. Jessie is a 2011 Edward Albee fellow, which supported work on her memoir Mirror Pain. She is currently on faculty at NYU Gallatin, where she teaches a fall seminar on Disability Art and Culture, and a spring seminar on Disability Memoir.
